Well if you get rid of the blow up doll and the accesseries you might have a little more room *wink*

Another cheap.... I mean inexpensive way to go are the silver reflectors (the ones you put in your car windows to keep the sun out) could be used to bounce the light.

Spyder,

Thanks for the excellent suggestion. I don't have any form core, but I do have some white plastic Wal-mart style plastic bags that might also work the same way -- yet ANOTHER use for Wal-mart bags!!!!! I am still struggling with lighting issues. I bought a battery-operated camping lantern just for more light -- keep in mind I'm recording these sitting in the sleeper of my truck.

One suggestion (as a photographer), I would like to see more light in your face (keeps the eyes bright). Get a piece of white foam core (local art supply shop) move it in such a way as to bounce light into your face. doesn't require any more lighting just moves the light were you need it. Can be just slightly off camera.

Spyder,

Glad you liked my movie reviews. They are easy to do and enormously fun to put together. It's amazing how much information you can pack into a minute and twenty seconds or so if you've got voice inflections and facial expressions to go along with the words.

I've recorded a couple of video movie reviews you all might get a kick out of. I made sure that plenty of ink shows up with me on camera! Here are the links:

Re: [tattoo] Re: Movie reviews...

The problem with me looking down is that I'm too close to the computer screen. I'm reading an on-screen teleprompter in the "Visual Communicator Web" program. I've got the camera positioned just above the screen. If I were farther away from the screen and camera, it would appear more like I'm looking at the camera and not down the screen. This is another problem for me to work on resolving.

tom, your voice and body language were nothing like i expected it to be from talking with you on the computer.  you project yourself very well and you seam very confident.  the only suggestion i could give would be to open your eyes more, they seamed closed or like you were looking at the ground.  i liked the movie review content and the music was right on.  thanks for sharing with us...

Re: [tattoo] cancelled appointments

here's what you do.
wait somewhere near his shop so you can see when he shows up for work. once he goes inside pop the hood of his car and steal his coil wire. that way he won't be able to leave. then go inside the shop and tell him that you want your fucking tattoo or you're gonna tell everyone in town that he's a crack head and did your worst tattoo, even better hand poke one some where the tattoo he's supposed to do will cover up. Tell him you want it  started today and that he can call someone else and cancell them to get you in the chair. If he says some thing like "I have somewhere i have to be"  just say "whatever chump" and leave. go to the spot you were watching him pull up and laugh your ass off while he gets pissed off that his car won't start. Keep his coil wire, if you ever do get to sit in his chair and get tattooed, wait till he's done and then reach into your purse or whatever like you were getting him a tip, and hand him his coil wire. Say something like "Thanx for the tat, maybe next time I won't have to resort to pranx to get you to work on me.

RE: [tattoo] More Botched Tat Piccys

<< Thinking of going to Spacy at Bizare Ink, Edinburgh for a rework.
Does anyone know more about him. >>

I hope someone here can give you info on a good artist to go to - but keep
in mind most of us on this list are in the States, so we may not know too
much about artists in the UK!
